Ghajini Hindi Review:
Your first reaction after watching Ghajini is WOW What a movie!! You look at your watch to realize 3 hours have breezed through. You catch hold of your breathe and come to terms with a movie that has just managed to blow you away. It aint a movie that you would remember and want to watch 5 years from now, in fact it lacks repeat value as the thrill would be missing the second time. But what Aamir Khan and the Ghajini team have served is a fulto masala entertainer. It has comedy, romance, action, a typical 90s villian, great music, emotions.. Ghajini has got it all.
There are so many memorable moments and scenes in Ghajini. To describe a few..
1) When Aamir is chasing the cop and Jiah, he suddenly loses his memory. Yet tries to recognise Jiah by her rapid breathe rate.
2) The Aamir - Asin love story. He’s a business tycoon; she’s a pretty ordinary girl. The way their love story begins is sweet and extremely funny!
3) The villian! Neck and fingers filled with gold jewellery, a silver tooth, menacing look et al. Ghajini is a typical 90s villian. Almost perfect for a revenge movie. The most surprising thing was, the movie has been named after the villian, which usually isnt the case with Bollywood movies. Has a movie ever been titled, inspired by the character of a non-star villian?
4) The climax! Scintillating stuff. It seems quite easy to predict, what could happen next. But the short term memory loss makes the movie quite unpredictable.
A.R. Murugadoss directing his first Bollywood film deserves credit for his brilliant execution of the script. The climax of the Hindi version is different, if compared to the original in Tamil. The brilliant camera work and fantastic background score is one of the many other positives.
So is it too violent? The answer is No, it isn’t a very violent movie. Apart from certain scenes like the tattoos being scratched off from Aamir’s chest - abdomen and a few physical fights resulting in twisting of necks, the violence is limited to about 15 mins. Far less brutal than the CCTV captures of the Mumbai terrorist attacks that was aired on almost all news channels.
Any flaws? Yes, the songs. About 2 songs too many in the first half; Behka Main and Aye Bachchu were unnecessary.
The performances were top notch. Asin proves to be a very good actress, quite unexpected as I wasn’t expecting much from her, after those promos. Good screen presence, bubbly and charismatic.
Aamir Khan is brilliant! An actor who can never disappoint, neither with his performances nor the overall quality of his movies. He is by far the best star-actor of the decade. What with a different variety of movies like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par and now Ghajini! All very different, but brilliant nonetheless!
Overall, Ghajini is a must watch, a complete paisa vasool entertainer. A movie that should be experienced only on the big screen. Lastly, watch it for Aamir Khan and his sheer brilliance on screen. He is to Bollywood, what Sachin Tendulkar is to cricket. A legend!

The Movie:
There is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary jodi! And one such ordinary jodi is that of Surinder Sahni and Taani in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.
The movie is a love story, directed by Aditya Chopra who is returning to direction after eight years since Mohabbatein.
Shahrukh Khan , who has worked in the two previous flicks Aditya Chopra has directed (including Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge ), once again plays the lead role. The female lead is played by a newcomer named Anushka Sharma .
The Story:
The story of the movie goes very simple yet impressive. The screenplay and story never let you down. The pace is perfect and the treatment to what is a simple story is crucially superb.
Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) is a simple, clean-hearted, honest man working for Punjab Power who leads a humdrum, very ordinary life. He works at a powerplant and goes through many daily routines and rituals. A today’s man, he cooks, cleans, washes, irons all by himself. One fine day, a young lady walks into his life - Taani (the stunning yet cute Anoushka Sharma) a flamboyant, fun-loving and vivacious girl who is the exact opposite of Surinder and he immediately falls in love with her at first sight.
For Taani the whole world is her canvas and she paints her own life with colors of rainbow. But then, unforeseen circumstances change it all. They separate them and bring them together.
What follows is a journey filled with laughter, tears, joy, pain, music, dance and a lot of love.
Thus, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ tells a simple story that makes us believe that there is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary jodi!
The Music:
In Bollywood, music of the movie plays a vital role in the success of the movie and if the songs are good then half of the battle is won. And yes, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi succeeds in every department. The power of this soundtrack lies in its simplicity. Let’s get the music review of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Haule haule has made it 5 out of 5. Haule Haule is lovely, easily the best track. The other song Dance pe chance is next in the hit list. Rest of the songs are just average. On overall, the music scores 3.5 out of 5.
Big Surprises:
We a never-seen-before this version of King Khan, playing a very ordinary man. The audience is treated to dancing competitions, sum wrestling and a stunningly choreographed Tribute song on yesteryear stars Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna & Rishi Kapoor with guest appearances by stunning bollywood actresses, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra. SRK displays like no other that he is the King of all tribute songs!
Stunning Performances:
The movie has both SRK and Anushka in two different get-ups. The first one is an ordinary look in which SRK wears loose pants and shirts and has his hair oiled and combed to one side. Second is a dude look with spikey hair and clean-shaven face. Anushka, too, has two makeovers in the film. She dresses up traditionally in salwar-kameez for one part of the film. In another part, she dons designer dresses. In the second half of the movie, SRK turns from a boring guy to a handsome dude who participates with Anushka in a dance competition and wins her love.
For the first time, Shahrukh Khan plays a role of a ordinary man and he says the two different characters he plays in the movie are inspired from real people who participated in his show ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai’.
Anoushka Sharma could not have asked for a better debuting platform! Understatingly beautiful, she has excellent dialogue delivery and tremendous appeal for youngsters across India. Cheekly innocent, her comic timing and dancing capability will leave a memory in your minds as you leave the theatre. She will bag all the major debutant awards.
Along with Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, Vinay Pathak steals the show with a sterling effort in grooming Surinder into Raj. Vinay Pathak will sweep all the supporting actor awards next year. All the best Vinay..!!
Verdict:
The story and screenplay never let you down. The film has soul and will leave you spellbound, panting and breathing for more as you leave the cinema hall. The repeat value is tremendous with many sterling moments of high emotions and drama.
